Betty and Wei are homegrown Californians. We grew up in sunny Southern California and met in the quaint redwoods of Santa Cruz in Northern Cali. North or South, what we love passionately is the sun, the surf and kicking back to a good old BBQ. We came to Taiwan in 2002...we found the sun, we found the surf, but what we missed was the grill. After enjoying an array of cuisines in Taiwan, we thought, why not bring some of our Cali flavor to this island we now call home? Cali's about fresh fruits and veggies, about healthy vegetarian choices, about barbecuing on the beach, fresh seafood and Asian fusion. And we've incorporated these things into each of our items. Whether you wanna be healthy with a salad and a tofu burger or get stony 'n pig out on Mofo Fries, we've got it all.

Brian and Extra are being initiated into our Californian lifestyle. Brian's had many lives, model, taiqi instructor, English teacher, traveler, but at heart he will always and forever be a chef. He owned a restaurant in Canada and managed restaurants in Japan. Brian brings it all together for us, giving our sunny Californian fancies that professional culinary touch. Extra is a local Taiwanese, and she has rooted our restaurant into its Taipei home. Ever wonder how she got her name? She has a special affinity for Extra chewing gum!

So that's us. Four people from three different countries banded together to serve freshly grilled, deliciously flavored beef patties and more. Hope our little place on the corner of Yong Kang and Jin Hua can bring you just the thing you've been craving for.
